Formats Unlimited provides various printing options for your CD and DVD disc labeling needs. Please review the guide below to know more about the disc printing options offered and which ones are suitable for your next duplication or replication job.

Color Inkjet Print for duplication
Color inkjet print is a great solution for small to medium runs. Color designs are printed with CMYK inkjet print onto a disc with a special inkjet surface.
Suitable For: Full Color designs Short run
Not So Suitable For: Long term print durability

Thermal Mono Color Text Print for duplication
Single color thermal print is the fastest and most cost effective option for simple text, logo, graphic designs This option offers up to 600dpi resolution. We use thermal printers to print your design from thermal ribbon at high temperature onto a disc. The finish is durable, smudge proof and moisture resistant.
Suitable For: Mono text, logos and graphic colors for any volume (cost effective)
Not So Suitable For: Black backgrounds, Photo images, Hi res graphics

Full Color Dye Sublimation Print for duplication
Full color thermal is the best option for fast turnaround short run duplication when full color is required. This option offers 600 dpi resolution for full color designs. We use a Dye Sublimation printer to print your design from thermal ribbon at high temperature onto thermal surface discs. The finish is durable, smudge proof and moisture resistant.
Suitable For: Full colour designs Photo images Hi res graphics
Not So Suitable For: Larger volumes of 1000+

Color Offset Litho for replication
Full color offset litho is the most suitable option for very high volume when highest quality full color photo on body disc print is required. Ideal for high detailed backgrounds, photo images and text effects. Print finish is highly durable. Very popular for DVD disc print.
Suitable For: Very High volume, Photo quality images, High resolution graphics, Detailed gradients
Not Suitable For: Low volume, simple graphics, monotone artwork.
